Identity is the new Perimeter

Identity Is the New Perimeter
Rethinking Identity Security in a Zero Trust World

The perimeter didn't disappear — it moved. It now lives in every credential, every session token, every device fingerprint, and every behavioral signal your organization generates daily.

Identity has evolved far beyond usernames and passwords. Device posture, biometric and behavioral signals, session context, and access patterns are now core inputs into every trust decision. This is the premise behind Zero Trust: never trust, always verify — continuously, contextually, and without exception.

Identity and Access Management (IAM) remains the foundation of this model — governing who gets access to what, under which conditions, and for how long. But IAM was built for a world of static logins and defined perimeters. On its own, it verifies identity at a point in time; it doesn't account for what happens to that identity, or the device behind it, five minutes later.

This is where Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) extends the model. Rather than validating a device once at login and trusting it for the rest of the session, SASE continuously checks device posture — patch levels, encryption status, endpoint health, network context — and feeds that signal back into access decisions in real time. Combined with secure web gateways, CASB, and ZTNA, SASE turns device posture from a one-time gate into an ongoing input for identity trust, working alongside IAM rather than replacing it.

But even mature identity programs aren't immune to failure. A phished link. An overlooked OAuth grant. A stale service account. These small gaps are often how credentials and sensitive account data end up exposed — quietly, and often long before anyone notices.

This is where the dark web comes in — already ahead of most security teams. Credential dumps, session tokens, and corporate data routinely surface on dark web marketplaces and forums — often invisible to the organizations they belong to, until it's too late.

Dark Web Monitoring closes that visibility gap, giving security teams a signal that IAM and SASE alone can't provide: proof that your identities have already been compromised, before an attacker acts on it.

In this session, we move beyond account-level thinking and examine identity as an organizational governance problem. You'll walk away with a practical framework for:

  • Extending Zero Trust principles beyond authentication into continuous, risk-based verification
  • Strengthening IAM as the governance foundation for who has access to what, and why
  • Using SASE to enforce continuous device posture checks and dynamically adjust access based on real-time risk
  • Leveraging dark web monitoring and threat intelligence to detect exposure before it becomes a breach
  • Building an incident response playbook for when your organization's data does surface on the dark web
  • Aligning identity security practices with governance, not just tooling

Whether you're securing a hybrid workforce, modernizing your IAM strategy, or building out your Zero Trust roadmap, this webinar will give you a sharper, more holistic view of identity — and the tools to defend it.
